🎓 Frequently Asked Questions about Purdue Cap and Gown Graduation Photos

  • When should I book my Purdue graduation photography session?
Purdue graduation photo sessions fill quickly, especially in April and May.

I recommend booking your Purdue graduation photos at least 6–8 weeks in advance to secure your ideal time on campus. Morning and golden-hour sessions are most popular for cap and gown pictures.

  • Where do Purdue graduation photos usually take place?
Most Purdue graduation photography sessions happen around iconic campus spots such as the Engineering Fountain, Bell Tower, Purdue Arches, Union, and Hovde Hall. I’ll guide you through the best locations for light and crowds so your Purdue grad photos feel personal and timeless.

  • What should I wear for my Purdue graduation pictures?
Cap & Gown: Make sure your gown is steamed or ironed beforehand so it looks smooth in photos. (Wrinkles show up more than you think!)
Outfit Underneath: Choose something classic and flattering. Dresses, suits, or business casual outfits always look great.
Shoes: Campus locations require walking, and while heels look nice, bring a pair of flats just in case.

  • Can I include friends or family in my Purdue graduation session?
Absolutely! You can include your family, friends, or roommates for a few group shots. If you want extended family or multiple grads, I’ll help organize those photos so your session still feels relaxed and enjoyable. You can schedule a Friends session and split the cost between you all.

  • Will I be able to download the pictures?

Yes. Every session includes fully edited, high-resolution digital images that are yours to download, print, and share. Professional prints are available directly from your online gallery.

  • What happens if it rains during my Purdue graduation photo session?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, I always offer a flexible reschedule. We’ll find a new time so you still get beautiful Purdue graduation photos without worrying about the forecast.
