Jenna and Bryan’s Downtown Lafayette, Indiana Wedding | Love, Laughter, and a Little Adventure
Jenna & Bryan’s Downtown, Lafayette Wedding
Wedding days should be personalized to each couple, and that is what Bryan and Jenna’s wedding day was. Their day was intentional, personal, and full of connection. From a deeply meaningful ceremony at Thomas Duncan Hall to portraits wandering downtown Lafayette with stops at a couple of their favorite bars, every moment honored the people and communities who shaped their story.
Their Story
Jenna and Bryan met in the summer of 2015, and their story has always been about curiosity, adventure, and loyal partnership. They spent early days hiking around Columbia, Missouri, traveling together, celebrating milestones, and supporting one another through long-distance seasons and career moves. Bryan proposed after a hint-filled trip to Traverse City, and Jenna said yes.
Ten years of shared adventures, late-night flights, clubbing in Berlin, trips to the Kennedy Space Center, and steady growth later, they gathered family and close friends to celebrate the beginning of the next chapter.
Ceremony at Thomas Duncan Hall
Their ceremony at Thomas Duncan Hall felt intimate and alive. The venue’s classic character provided a warm backdrop while the words spoken by one of Jenna’s dearest friends made the moment profoundly personal. The guest list was small by design but full of people who mattered deeply. You could feel the gratitude and history in the room as family and friends watched these two promise their lives to each other.
The Superman and His Bride
Guests affectionately called Bryan “Superman” throughout the day, and the nickname fit. He carries a gentle confidence and kindness that feels instantly trustworthy. Jenna balanced him beautifully with calm focus and a thoughtful presence.
Jenna described three things she loves most about Bryan: that he connects easily with people from all walks of life, that he values learning and adventure over comfort, and that he will try anything once.
Bryan described Jenna as highly analytical, highly organized, and someone who brings focus to the most important moments.
Together, they are teammates and keepers of one another’s best selves.
Downtown Lafayette Portraits and Bar Stops
After the ceremony, we walked downtown Lafayette for portraits and intentionally stopped at two local bars for drinks. This wasn’t a random addition to their day; it was a real part of who Jenna and Bryan are. They are active members of the Hash House Harriers, a worldwide group known as “a drinking club with a running problem” that began with British roots.
The club is more family than hobby for them, and many of their closest friends from the group traveled from across the country to celebrate. Those bar stops became joyful mini celebrations within the wedding day, giving us moments that felt candid, warm, and true to the couple.
Reception at Matchbox Studio
The celebration moved to Matchbox Studio, where the energy shifted into a lively cocktail party vibe. CraftyCocktail poured drinks, and RatPak kept the music flowing. The reception honored fun, connection, and hospitality.
Jenna and Bryan are natural hosts, and the evening felt like a series of meaningful conversations and new introductions rather than a forced formal program. That intentional hospitality is exactly what they hoped for.
What Made This Day Unique
Community over quantity: Even with a small guest list, every person was deliberately chosen and deeply loved.
Real life woven into celebration: Their Hash House Harriers community and downtown bar stops weren’t afterthoughts but central pieces of the day.
Meaningful officiant: One of Jenna’s closest friends officiated, which made the ceremony words feel so real, rooted in their deep relationship.
